Mobiles2go’s core business is the delivery of niche market
products and services tailored to specific markets, using a
delivery platform that has been developed to service the needs of a
range of alternative implementation strategies.This platform
includes a fully-developed centralized billing, fulfillment
and customer management facility that can operate completely
independently or in co-ordination with third-party Carriers.
The primary focus of the Group at this time is deployment of
Mobile Location-Based Services (MLBS) to consumers and to business
– with a secondary focus on the development of mobile telephony and
related products to the Small and Medium-sized business markets
(SME).
Following foundation of the business in 1998, Mobiles2go.com Pty
Ltd (ABN 88 090 534 660) was formed in 1999. This was followed
by the formation of a number of other companies to undertake the
MLBS business in Australia and overseas. Mobiles2go’s
international operations now comprise the bulk of Mobiles2go’s
activities and comprise
Mobiles2go L&D Global – product distributor for MLBS
products and provider of an integrated MLBS operating platform for
both subsidiary country operations of Mobiles2go and third-party
licensees (L&D = Licensing and Distribution).
Subsidiary operations – in which Mobiles2go has majority
ownership and control. These include the United Kingdom, The
Netherlands and The Republic of South Africa.
Licensed Operations – these include Germany, Russia,
Spain and Switzerland with negotiations proceeding in Portugal,
Greece, Italy, Turkey and other countries.
Revenues from mobile location-based services (LBS) in the
European market will grow by 34 percent annually to reach € 622
million in 2010, according to a new report from the research firm
Berg
Insight.
mobiles2go today has one of the broadest distribution of managed
Location-based services globally, with its products and platform
operating in 8 countries and further countries scheduled to come on
