The Company’s management team and the key stakeholders have been
involved within the telecommunications industry since 1992.
Mobiles2go was founded in 1998 and entered the business market in
2002 with business SMS and premium SMS products and services. One
of its key products at that time was SMX, a mobile office/email
solution that required further commercialization with feature
differentiation for the SME value proposition. Over the period 2003
to date the Company has worked towards this commercialization and
in developing key channel partners for the market deployment of
this service.
In early 2004, the business determined that to achieve its
desired market penetration of SMX, it needed to also deliver a
compelling mobile offering, as Mobile Office software alone was
only one piece of the mobile solution. It was at this time that
Mobiles2go began its planning and research of the MVNO business
model and researching the best partners to deliver the required
services.
In mid-2004 the business uncovered a market opportunity within
the MLBS market and began researching in depth the opportunity
within the Aged/Health Care Segment, which in turn led to
researching the Primary School market and potential SME users of
Location Based Services using de-featured mobile phones with GPS
tracking.
In recent years, Mobiles2go has achieved a number of key
milestones and key relationships – with a parallel period of
international expansion.
